Graeme Chaplin, agent for the BoE in the West Midlands, is coming to Birmingham to give a talk on the outlook for the UK economy. In particular, he will discuss the role of the Bank, within the economy, focusing on the work of the Monetary Policy Committee and how decisions on interest rates are reached each month.
The event will be especially useful for anyone preparing for interviews or those participating in internships this summer, as well as Economics and Finance students, where a current grasp of economic affairs is important.
Members of the Economics Society will have priority but this event is open to all university students/lecturers.
